Overview
Tanzania Ports Operations and Investments Limited (TPOIL) is a company incorporated under the Companies Act, Cap. 212 of the Laws of Tanzania. The Company is limited by shares and is wholly owned by the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA).
TPOIL was established as a strategic subsidiary of TPA to enhance efficiency, port development, and investment capacity in port-related operations and businesses. The Company operates within a structured corporate governance framework consistent with public sector ownership and national development objectives.
Our Mandate
TPOIL is a private company mandated to undertake port operations and port-related investments with a focus on improving operational performance, attracting strategic investments, and supporting sustainable development of ports and associated infrastructure. The Company serves as a dedicated vehicle for executing commercially oriented activities while complementing the core regulatory and landlord functions of TPA.
